As we all have become aware–the black bridesmaid dress used to be super unconventional. These days, we are seeing a shift toward the mainstream. Fall brides are having their gals don gorgeous mid-length black bridesmaid dresses, while winter brides opt for a long gown. As a tip–stay away from the black palette in spring and summer months-especially in South Florida. Not only is it too hot for black at an outdoor wedding or for pictures, but it puts a damper on the fun colors you CAN play with in those months. If black is a MUST HAVE in the spring and summer months, I would opt for a tea-length dress in your secondary wedding color with a black sash or accent jewelry or work on your florals with black touches or bows. Here are Simply Couture Wedding’s top 5 BEST black bridesmaids dresses, hands down. I have options from pricey to budget savvy. Enjoy! P.S. Your maids will LOVE you for letting them buy a dress that can be re-used as an LBD (Little Black Dress).
