We have been featured, yet again on Style Me Pretty Florida today for our gorgeous wedding at Flamingo Gardens!  A huge thank you to Melanie Gabrielle Photography for being persistent–hard work pays off!  We were both so blessed to have Bailey + Josh as our clients, turned friends!  After a rainy washed out morning, the sun came out and Bailey + Josh’s ceremony went off without a hitch (other than the loud mating peacocks–makes for a great story, though)  Bailey + Josh hired Simply Couture Weddings well before they were even engaged!  This was a first for us, but we are so thankful Bailey stayed in touch and after explaining to her that her DIY budget was more than enough to create the wedding of her dreams, she was all in!  We met for coffee at Starbucks on my birthday almost a year ago, and clicked instantly (they knew my love for coffee and the mustache mania craze).

They knew their color palette would be gray, pastel green and pastel yellow from the get go.  We worked within those parameters to create utter magic (hot air balloons included)!  Bailey and her family worked real hard creating her DIY centerpieces, and her bridesmaids and I took a Saturday and knocked out the fabulous kraft paper table cloths complete with images of a plate, fork and spoon (cutest Pinterest idea, ever!)  Apart from sore backs, and tired eyes, we got it all done in time for the big day!  Bailey + Josh’s sweet, sweet love for each other and their deep-rooted faith made them a perfect match made in heaven!  Bailey is a teacher, so of course, her organization and take-charge personality was perfect when it came to wedding planning with us!

The wedding day was sheer beauty.  The bride was calm and collected, while the groom was a bit nervous.  His dapper groomsmen (in suspenders no less) did a great job of calming his nerves and praying over him before the ceremony.  Their “first look” brought tears to my eyes.  The way Josh looks at Bailey is unforgettable.  After the perfect ceremony, complete with songs performed by the groomsmen and one of the bridesmaids, the “mocktail” hour was full of fun games and our favorite caricature artist, Dino.  The reception did not fall short of fabulous either!  Guests found their names on doilies push pinned into a DIY painted board, and took photos at a make shift photobooth complete with props!  The dessert table was to die for!  From cookies, to their rustic cake and cupcakes, to cheesecake bars, and the best American flag cherry pie ever!  Our very own Ashley worked hard on getting the lighting wrapped around the rustic wood beams and after a spider bite and dust filled eyes, she completed it, and WOW-was it spectacular.  A focal point for sure!  A huge thank you to Ashley and Aimee–I could not have done it without you girls!  XO

Bailey and Josh- I wish you years of love, laughter, happiness, and a brood of children–you will make amazing parents!  You were both the most gracious, thankful and loving couples I have ever worked with.  Thank you!

XO, The Simply Couture Weddings Gals-
