As wedding planners, we are here to make your life less hectic, become your friend (and sometimes therapist), and be the shoulder to laugh and cry on up until the big day. Your details are safe with us! We know what an undertaking it is to plan the "wedding of your dreams" but we promise to eat, sleep and breathe love until your big day! So, drop us a line, text us, call us or Skype us! We're in-- as long as you don't mind us gushing about your proposal details and checking out the bling. We cannot wait to meet you, and remember--every girl deserves a little sparkle (and a wedding planner)! XO, The Simply Couture Weddings Gals

The first time I met Jacob and Kelly was at a local Starbucks.  They were not my typical couple, and I was intrigued that the bride was an artist and open to a fun DIY wedding at a local art warehouse that was off the beaten path.   After an hour chatting with them, I knew I wanted to work with them hand in hand to plan the wedding they so desperately wanted; a laid back fun party with family + friends and a lot of artsy details.
After months of planning and checking out the venue, we narrowed in on a color palette of purples and lime/kelly (no pun intended) greens and a plethora of details:  paper details like hanging origami, handmade terrariums, hand-painted terracotta pots with succulents which doubled as place cards and guest favors, and beautiful painted canvases, vinyl records, brooch and silk flower bouquet, paper flowers and pinwheel wall (all of which were hand made by the bride herself).
I knew to turn to Janderyn of Earth and Sugar to create an artist’s masterpiece of a cake.  She came through with a beautiful cake made perfectly to the bride’s liking; a splattered fondant double tier cake which was coconut and almond with vanilla buttercream filling, and then a beautiful display of mini lemon, chocolate, and vanilla cupcakes to top off the beautifully styled table.
Their photographer was an out of town friend all the way from Birmingham, Alabama– Dennis Calvert, who took the most amazing photos, and nailed their artistic vision stylistically.  The photos are so beautiful and speak for themselves.  Amazing work Dennis!!
After guests indulged in all the sweets, the bride treated them to a treat of her own.  Kelly and her maid of honor, the groom’s sister, are both Hula Hoopers, and did a special choreographed hula hoop show for the guests to La Roux’s “Bulletproof” using light up hula hoop–very unique indeed!

This warehouse turned wedding venue was quite an undertaking from the start, but after a few local artists re-painted a beautiful exterior neon wall mural, and added to some character murals to the rear of the building, it looked like an artist’s dream venue.  The bride and groom went out in perfect fashion–a glitter bomb line.  We filled miniature plastic shot glasses with rainbow glitter, and handed them out to guests after the last dance.  What a fun end to an offbeat artistic night! Congratulations again, Kelly + Jacob!!!

We were featured by the lovely Floridian Weddings today for our fabulous couple, Shauntrelle + Chris!  This beautiful vintage travel-themed wedding at the Hawks Cay Resort in the Keys was such a “destination treat” for all in attendance.  The looming clouds the evening prior, got everyone worried, but we knew all would be well the day of, and it was!  The sun came out, the clouds were visible, but far off, and we had a very happy bride.  An ENORMOUS thank you to our team of vendors that never cease to amaze us!!!!:
